The whole family gets to join the fun for a weekend at Family Camp with lots of opportunities for connecting with other CCC families. The relaxing getaway includes traditional camp activities, sightseeing, campfires, s’mores and precious quality time together. Camping the Night Away is CCC’s signature fundraising event. It offers a fun, camp-themed evening of drinks, delicious food, auctions, raffles, post program entertainment by local Des Moines artist Andrew Hoyt and his band! The proceeds from the night help make Camp Heart Connection programming possible for families affected by childhood cancer, including Oncology, Sibling, Family, Teen and Day Camps. Join
The 2025 Children’s Cancer Connection’s Exploration Expedition is set to depart again this spring! Teens ages 13 through graduating seniors can explore the Des Moines area of central Iowa with a group of CCC friends April 4-6, 2025. Sign up will open on February 1 and close on March 14. Meals, lodging, and activities will be provided free of charge.

Camp Heart Connection’s magical summer camps provide a secure environment to connect, grow and create lifelong memories. CCC offers these camps at no cost to those who attend! As CCC relies on fundraising efforts to cover camp costs, we also rely on the volunteer support of approximately 300 individuals to ensure that these camps are big successes! Many volunteers come
