Nick Krueger is new to the Children’s Cancer Connection Board of Directors! By day, he is National Vice President – Annuity Distribution at Principal. While he’s new to the board, his involvement with CCC has been a part of his life for years.
“My love and appreciation for this organization started when my son Will was diagnosed with leukemia at 4 years old,” Nick said. “CCC was a huge part of our support team and I’ve always wanted to pay it forward with the organization.”
Nick previously worked on a CCC capital campaign, and he’s excited to get to work through his board duties. His hope for CCC’s future is to continue providing quality programming for the children and families who need the support with strong financial backing.
“My family will be forever grateful for all the amazing people and support we received from CCC when we needed it the most!” Nick said. “I’m always amazed by how generous and kind the staff members are.”
Nick keeps busy with his three sons and their activities. Nick is a lifelong Des Moines area resident, and he also enjoys coaching hockey in his free time. He played hockey for the Des Moines Buccaneers in the early 90s and was an Assistant Coach for the team as well.
CCC thanks Nick Krueger for his commitment to serve on the Board of Directors. Nick’s term officially begins in January 2024.
