SUMMARY:Kids Club
DESCRIPTION:Join Children’s Cancer Connection at the Jeff and Deb Hansen Home for Hope for this month’s Kids Club! Kids Club is geared toward CCC children ages 5-12\, but any oncology or sibling participant is welcome. From 10 a.m. to noon\, children are welcome to join in on creative projects in CCC’s art area\, often joined by volunteers from the Des Moines Art Center! When crafts are done\, play with toys or video games\, climb on the Variety Star Playground and make new friends. Kids Club is held on the first Saturday of every month. \nRegistration is required and cuts off the Friday before each Kids Club at 5 p.m. \nVolunteers ages 16+ can see shift availability and/or sign up through the CCC volunteer platform.

DESCRIPTION:FEBRUARY – CANCELED. Comfort Connection is a time for caregivers of an oncology child to connect with others that are on a similar journey. All caregivers are welcome to attend\, regardless of treatment outcome of the child. Comfort Connection occurs every other month and consists of gatherings at the CCC office in Johnston\, as well as fun outings throughout the Des Moines metro area.
