SUMMARY:Caregiver Connect
DESCRIPTION:Caregiver Connect\, formerly Comfort Connection\, is a time for caregivers of an oncology child to connect with others that share that experience. All caregivers are welcome to attend\, regardless of treatment outcome of the child. The evening events are casual and community organically builds over conversation while sharing a meal or doing something fun together. The location and activities change each time! Mark your calendars for November 10. Location and time to be announced. Registration opens September 1 and closes November 3. \nEmail Programs@ccciowa.org with questions. Depending on the location of the event\, childcare may be offered at the CCC office. \nREGISTER HERE \nVolunteers ages 16 and up are needed to assist with childcare. SUMMARY:Kids Club
DESCRIPTION:Join Children’s Cancer Connection at the Jeff and Deb Hansen Home for Hope for this month’s Kids Club! Kids Club is geared toward CCC children ages 5-12\, but any oncology or sibling participant is welcome. From 10 a.m. to noon\, children are welcome to join in on creative projects in CCC’s art area\, often joined by volunteers from the Des Moines Art Center! When crafts are done\, play with toys or video games\, climb on the Variety Star Playground or Sport Court\, and make new friends.
